Hey everyone,

This is the first post of this amazing project that we are about to do.

Project Title: Selfless Shoe
Label Name: SOuLE
Team Name: Sole Makers

Who are we?
We are students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

What on is the social issue we are concern about?
As you can see from the project title- Selfless Shoe. The issue we are trying to fight is the lack of shoes around the world. In such a modern world we live in today, such as Singapore, many people tend to take a basic neccessity such as a pair of shoe for granted. However, in many countries such as Cambodia, India, China, Africa, etc. People are so poor they literally give up on shoes. They just walk bare-footed. And unlike many 1st world countries, they don't have plain floorings. They walk on deserts, forests, jungles, where they are prone to cuts and poisonous plants. We want to eliminate that vulnerability.

Why do we want to solve that problem?
Your feet is the only part of your whole body that touches the ground almost all the time. No where else in your body do you need to make contact with the earth almost all the time. And the children that live in such conditions suffer the most. They get infections, diseases, and to make things worse their medical services are not as good as ours. And what else can happen?

How can we solve the problem?
By providing them with protection on their feet. As we know "prevention is always better than cure."

Our product:
SOuLe is basically a product that we are marketing. It is a ordinary canvas shoe. But with a extraordinary value laying behind it.

See, for every pair of SOuLe that is sold, we will give anothe pair to a child who needs it more (e.g. Orphans, Needy students). Hence, we are promoting a "Buy One Give One Free" Policy, instead of the usual, "Buy One Get One Free".

And in this way, we can solve that social issue. One sole at a time.
